Okay, I’m gonna get a little real with ya here. (I probably lost some people right there) For those of you still with me, you probably know I’ve been *a bit* overwhelmed lately. A little mental breakdown never hurt anybody, right? Ugh. I feel like I just had a post about this…

Here’s my question: Is it possible to OVER plan? Whenever I think about this I hear “fail to plan, plan to fail” run through my head over and over. But at what point does it paralyze you? I know a lot of people say how perfection is paralyzing (I’ve done a post or two on it as well) but what about trying to plan for every instance? Every “what if?” I mean, can you really be that prepared – or are you just procrastinating?

Woah, woah, woah. Too many variables.

Part of me says to just fake it till I make it, but holy crap – that “faking it” part is really stressful.

Then I look at it this way. All this prep, all this “behind the scenes” work I’ve been doing is not for nothing. I feel like fighting your way through these obstacles DOES make you a better, smarter business person because everything is a lesson. If anything, making your way through the jungle of legal jargon, red tape, html and panic attacks gives you a sense of accomplishment when you come out the other end. And that’s the thing, you always come out the other end. Bigger, better, stronger.

One of my coworkers organizes these really fun movie & mixer (M&M) nights for all her friends. It started out as just something she did for fun but it’s grown into an event that gets around 100 people! It’s so fun, last time we had hosted drinks & snacks in Anthropologie! After drinks, we head over to the movie theatre where there is a section of seats roped off just for us! VIP AT HARKINS! Hahahaaa! Anywho, I just finished the evite & thought I’d post it – I’m kind of obsessed with it right now :)
