A Very Special, SURPRISE Wedding Present!

The Background.
Abby of Life in the Superburbs is getting married this weekend!! EEEEEK!!! I “met” Abby on Twitter a while ago and you might know her as a fellow Tuesday Shoesday-er & she also guest posts on Style Me Pretty. Oh sure she’s those things, AND she’s friggin fabulous. She is such a sweet person and I die over her style!!

The Idea.
Superfab Naomi Goodman from Enchanted Dream Weddings & Affairs came up with the idea to create a quilt as a wedding present for Miss Abby. From there, Suzy from Dog N’ Bird got in touch with Andrea Bell, the talent behind the beautiful quilt. So that’s: Brains behind the op = Naomi & Suzy. Skills behind the op = Andrea. They gathered up the group on Twitter & and we all submitted a quote to be embroidered onto a square. AWESOME!!!

Here’s how my (giant) square turned out!

Yeah that’s right, I got all sappy. I got all waaaaay too long didn’t realize I was just supposed to send in one or two famous quotes :) There were quite a few of us involved in pulling this off, visit the blogs below to see what message everyone sent to Abby!

Sunday Love

((sigh)) I just got an email saying it’s 90 days till my lease is up on my VW Beetle. I can’t tell you how much I LOVE this car! I had wanted one F-O-R-E-V-E-R and when I finally got it, it was meant to be. I got a new one on my birthday in 2007 and it’s sad to think that I’ll be getting rid of it. Perhaps to get another Beetle?? Yeah, probably. Right now I have this one and I think I’m going to trade it in for one that’s white with a black top…hmmm, we’ll see…

BUT – all I know for sure is that this exists & it needs to come into my life at some point:
